After many progesterone tests to figure out when her ovulation date was, Coco was bred to CH Turretbank To Sir With Love (Sidney) from California. We opted to do a surgical implant, because one other time she did fail to conceive... so this method increases odds.
The entire procedure took only 15 minutes, and Coco was a champ. She came home groggy of course, but ate and went potty like normal. Fingers crossed!

It appears Coco has come into season almost two months earlier than expected. We had breeding plans for this time, so it looks like we will have to stop showing for now while she takes a break to do this whole "mom" business. It is bittersweet because I am excited at the prospect of a beautiful new puppy she might give me, but sad because we have to miss a couple of big shows we hoped to enter, including my club's annual specialty. Oh well.

Happy because Coco won Winner's Bitch yesterday, and RWB today at a supported show in Sequim!!!! But I'm a little upset because a few months ago her win would have been 2 points, but now she only gets 1 point by beating 6 class dogs. Showing in WA state is becoming a little tougher. I will still take it, definitely! I am just pouting lol.
Now we are chasing that last major....

Coco traveled to Oregon with her bestie, Julia, and won Reserve Winner's Bitch today in Canby, OR. We will take it! She loves to show and the more she gets out there the better she gets.

What an honor and surprise, Coco goes Winner's Bitch and then on to Best of Breed today for another point! How fun to compete in group, but no placement there. I am not complaining one bit!

Julia took Coco to AZ for a week to participate in Nationals and a few other shows. I cannot believe that in a VERY large American Bred class, that they took 2nd place! Then I heard that Coco was the only whole color Cavalier to have placed in ANY class that consisted of more than 4 dogs (so placing by default). Wow, that is awesome
Then to make things cooler, Julia was approached by a judge from Australia, Vivienne McLaughlin (who is now an avid Coco fan) to ask if Coco could be the demonstration Cavalier for a little seminar she held. What an honor!
